I’ve been among the many users who have reported that the Plug-In was not working in the macOS.
It stopped working with macOS 18 for several macOS 18 and newer versions running Logic Pro X and Reaper so I removed all of the Plug-In components from my Mac.
Yesterday I did a fresh install of the Plug-In and it is now working with Logic Pro X 12.2 running macOS 27 developer beta 2. I can’t get it to work yet with Reaper 7.75 but Cockos seems to recognize that Reaper is “missing a component that will work under macOS 27” and that it will be available with the next release. We’ll see…

Is this fixed? I have a MacBook Pro M1 Running Tahoe, and I’m on Reaper as my DAW. I have just downloaded Reaper 7.78
Has this issue with Reaper been resolved yet or are you still having issues . I’m running a MacBook pro M1 with Tahoe 27. Persist are they still working to make a released product, and not a beta of the BeatBuddy plugin?
Sorry, but I’m not read in on what Singular Sound has planned for their plug-in.
Is there anyone who can answer on this persist. I’ just wondering whether it work with Reaper
I’ll uninstall the Reaper plug-in and reinstall a fresh copy to see if I can get it working later this week.
I just tried the fresh install and it continues to crash Reaper.
As a macOS user, you might consider seeing if the Plug-In will work with Logic Pro X (LPX). You should be able to download LPX and try it for free for at least a month, maybe three months.
You can try to add the AU version of the plug-in.
Another option might be to run Reaper under Rosetta.
If you still have a computer or laptop using Catalina (or maybe even Monterey) you can try the plug-in there.
The first two have reportedly worked for some, but not all users—I tried and it did not work.
I still have an older Mac running Catalina and the BeatBuddy Plug-In works on that Mac.
My Mac is A MacBook Pro M1, and I run Reaper. Is this something Reaper needs to work on, or is this a BBp problem? I just got GoranGrooves plugin, and I’m going to try it. Is the development team working on making this plugin work? I’d really like to use BB plugins. Is this a problem that just started with Reaper? I haven’t been on the forum because I was putting in a lot of time learning Reaper, and I just swapped from a Win11 to Mac, but I still have most everything loaded on my win11 laptop. Would BB plugin work on my Win11 pc? Thanks Persist.
I have never used a Logic DAW, and that has a pretty steep learning curve in it own.
This is probably not something Cockos/Reaper needs to work on but I could be wrong. It more than likely is either the plug-in or the macOS.
You could give it a try and see if it works on your Windows PC.
If you have GarageBand installed on your Mac, play around with it to see what you think-it is very similar to Logic Pro X. I’m biased in that Logic Pro X was built for the Mac while Reaper was built for the PC and then ported to work for the Mac.
Thank you for reporting this, and we apologize for the late response. I’ve forwarded this bug report to our development team for further investigation.
Persist, I have Beatbuddy Plugin working on my MacBook Pro M1and on Reaper 7.78. It’s loading up well. I’m not a drummer, but I’m learning to use loops, and samples. I have some drum stuff I bought that Goran Rista made. Can I use the with Beatbuddy Plugin? I’ve been away from BBMO for several months and I really need to learn how to use BBMO and My BB2 better. Can You, or anyone else recommend the best place to get help and answers, so I can better use the BB2 With Reaper, and here in my Studio.
Hey. Glad it’s working for you.
As long as the drum sets are loaded with your others, they certainly should be discoverable and useable by the plug-in.
