Recording into new part question (Solved)

Set up: in 6x6 mode with track one as a locked track. How can I have recording start automatically when I move into a new part? I have “Next Part Record” On but recording does not start when I switch parts

I actually got it working by turning “Next Part Record” off. That seems backwards to me but it works.
