Recording Reaper to Midi

My music partner records live instruments as wav files into reaper. We were hoping he could record them as midi files so we can easily use them within Beat Buddy. Any advice or links as to how to do this?

If the live instruments are not midi instruments then you need to run some sophisticated sound to midi program to convert the wav to midi

But if they are midi instruments then you just need to plug a midi cable to the soundcard and record the midi stream in Reaper

Assuming you’re talking about drums…

Thanks for the suggestions so far.
Live instruments aren’t midi instruments but this link: https://basicpitch.spotify.com/ seems to work so far.
Drums are one part, but mostly bass and drums.

You can also use the ultimate guitar website, search for the song then select the guitar pro version. You will need a trial of guitar pro, you can then export the drum/base track as midi from guitar pro and then import to the BB or edit in DAW.
