Date validation seems to be messed up on the page. I’ve notified the web master to have a look at the issue when he has time.

[UPDATE] Apparently, this was an issue when viewing the page with the Mozilla Firefox browser.
This is fixed now.
A date picker should be now available to choose the date.
If date picker doesn’t come up, use YYYY-MM-DD format.
E.g., 2014-02-01 (Feb. 1st, 2014) would be my date of purchase. Please note the leading zeroes in both month and date - there needs to be exactly two digits in them!
