I recently purchased a beat Buddy and foot plus switch+.
The beat buddy that I was demoed, had functionality for the foot switch where each button would do different things depending on if the song was playing, if it was paused, or if it was stopped.
However, the new beat Buddy I have doesn’t separate the play/pause, And has it as a single option.
I have upgraded the firmware, but this has not fix the issue.
Is this just how new beat buddies are? If so, is there a way to downgrade it to the previous version?
The way I’d like to set it up is like this:
Button 1:
Paused: tap tempo
Play: accent hit
Button 2:
Paused: unpause
Play: pause
This was the whole reason I bought the beat buddy in the first place, and now it doesn’t work a like the previous versions?
I have my left button set to pause/unpause. The same option was available for the right button. I would be very surprised if they have deliberately removed this function.
Just asking the obvious but I assume you have used the settings menu on the BB to set what you want the buttons to do and are not just using the defaults.
Thanks for the reply.
The question I have doesn’t have with what the buttons do when pressed, what I’m saying is that the new beat buddy I have does not have separate functionality for Play and Paused.
When I was introduced to the foot switch, it was with an older model beat Buddy. It had functionality for Play, Paused, and Stopped.
The only options I have access to for when the buttons are pressed is Play/Paused and Stopped.
No they don’t…
My options are literally:
When stopped
Play/Paused
HOWEVER- on a whim, I decided to reinstall the firmware on the SD card. Turns out, that was the ticket.
After doing this, the beat buddy updated, and I now have the same functionality as I saw on the other model.
The issue has been fixed, thank you for your help.
