I have searched high and low and have picked up some pieces but I am going to ask here… I want to connect Songbook Pro (not chordpro) to the beat buddy. When I choose a song in SBP I want the beat buddy to auto select the song sent. Do I need anything beyond the beatbuddy, songbook pro running on android, the beatbuddy midi cable and a wireless bluetooth midi adapter?
Although you mention MIDI cable, you will need the Singular Sound MIDI Sync Adapter.
The BBMO can help you by identifying the song’s MIDI commands to enter into S B P.
Thanks for the quick reply! Great tip on the midi commands in BBMO! I didn’t notice that. I meant the SS Midi sync adapter when I said BeatBuddy midi cable. Can’t wait to get the cables and try this out!
Ok, just got my cables. Paired the BB with SBP on Android via WIDI. How does the BBMO code correlate to the choices in SBP? BBMO Code: CC0:0 CC32:5 PC:16@0 {PC0.5:16@0} ; SBP song level midi settings: Program/Control Change, Channel#, Program number, MSB and LSB.
CC means Control Change
PC means Program Change
@0 is likely Channel 0
Note CC0 + CC32 + PC combined is a bank/patch select (could have other names too) perhaps in SBP this is Program Number with MSB and LSB
