Songs exported from BBMO 2.0.4 do not import into the BBM

macOS 26.2
BBMO 2.0.4 in Vivaldi (and Google Chrome)

Steps to reproduce:

Here’s the song exported from BBM
33_Walk_Don’t_Run_v3b.sng (20.4 KB)

Here’s the edited version of the song exported from BBMO 2.0.4
33 Walk Don’t Run v3b.sng (64.7 KB)

This bug is repeatable with OPB and some default content beats that have been edited into songs.

The workaround so far is to export the MIDI of the edited BBMO 2.0.4 song and use it in the BBM.

Could it be the apostrophe in don’t?

The BBMO file version is a more recent file version and contains Autopilot data. BBM doesn’t know to ignore the extra data it doesn’t need.

Try this: 33 Walk Don’t Run v3b_bbm.sng (21.1 KB)

I don’t think so as I’ve been using an apostrophe in song titles for years for years (along with hyphens).

I can certainly see how that would apply in the BBMO BB2 mode but not in BBMO BB1 mode. I’ll give the attached file a try.

Thank you both for sharing your thoughts.

@persist I verified it by checking the actual source of the song. The bug may be that in BB1 mode, it is still adding the Autopilot data at the end of the file. In the attached file, I stripped out the Autopilot information and set the song file version back to BB1 but left everything else in tact.

Thank you for clarifying, Andrew.
