Struggling with multi-measure transitions

Hi All,

Device/Firmware/Software Version: BB2-1.0.0.

BBMO

Operating System:

Windows 11

Description of the bug:

Transitions longer than one bar add or remove beats

Steps to Reproduce the Issue:

With Cue Fill Period set to “Immediately”, add a transition that is more than one measure long. Attempt to use this 2+ measure transition using the BeatBuddy pedal or the BBMO pedal emulator.

Result:

The BeatBuddy pedal or the BBMO pedal emulator adds or subtracts beats. So, it sounds like you’ve added a measure of 5/4 or 3/4 - derails the performance to the point of needing to look at the pedal’s display to understand where the downbeat is.

Expected Behavior:

I expect multi-measure transitions to work as seamlessly and predictably as single or partial measure transitions.

The most reliable workaround is to put the 2+ measure transition in separate song part set to autopilot.

Hello,

Please update your BeatBuddy 2 firmware to the latest version (v1.0.1) and let us know if the issue persists afterward.

You can update the firmware by following the instructions here:

Thank you!

Is this the same issue I had with programming Solsburry Hill 7/8 and the than 8/8 in the transition. Works in the BBMO but not on the device.

Could you please send us the song file here, or via email to support@singularsound.com, and let us know which exact transition is not working as expected?

That way, I can test it and report it to the development team in case there is a bug.

Thank you!

Hey Daniel,

this is the file. As I said, it works fine in BBMO but doesn’t get the counts right on the device. This should definitely be fixed.
