SWEET BABY JAMES - JAMES TAYLOR (OPB)

Just a great song, either on acoustic or electric. Get that intro step down right!

Thank you wonderful song

When I download this file and import it, I get problems when trying to play it back because most of the drums are “unknown”. It appears different drums are being used rather than the built in drums on the SD card that BB comes with?

I’ve had the same problem with 5 out of 6 beats I have downloaded from here.

Am I doing something incorrectly?

You are not doing anything wrong. This is a one-press bass (OPB) song and it requires a user-created kit to play the complete range of drum notes as well as the bass guitar notes.

The BBMO does not presently identify which drum set the song was created with and it defaults to the Standard drum set. If not a bug in the BBMO, it’s certainly a functional shortfall.

If the required drum set is not identified in the song upload, you can use the BeatBuddy Manager (BBM) to get the name of the kit. Keep in mind that if the Default drum set title starts with an asterisk, it means you don’t have the kit imported or active (in the BBM). You’ll have to search the forum for the kit. Another thing to keep in mind is to quit the BBMO before opening the project in the BBM.

I’m going to guess that you can use the Sub-Std Pro Bass 62-91 kit in lieu of whatever kit was used to craft the song. Search the forum for “substitute.”

Thank you for your quick answer.

For new users, maybe it would be helpful to have a pinned post explaining this on the top of that forum section. I’ve downloaded 6 songs and only ONE of them worked. None of the original posters said anything about needing additional drum sets. I’ve spent hours trying to figure this out, including posting this question on the facebook groups and no one knew the answer there either.

Thanks again.
