Three button Foot switch

It would be great to add support for a three or four button foot switch. I hate the double tap outro, so have my left foot switch button set for that, but now I’ve lost the accent which is a shame.

Consider adding a midi controller to your setup :yum:

Three button footswitch would require a new physical design for BB with a TRRS socket instead of current TRS socket

Doesn’t necessarily need to be a TRRS connection. The Digitech 3 button footswitch uses TRS and does some magic with a pair of diodes to do so. Some logic in the BB would need to be changed in the firmware if it was feasible, but I don’t foresee happening. As you suggested a MIDI controller would be the best way to go.

DIY’d a 3 switch box for my TC Helicon VLP GTX pedal for much less $$ than what real deal goes for.

Ah, that’s clever. Basically the third button sends signal through both tip and ring, which can be detected :yum: Not sure if that would work if you need to press two buttons at the same time

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback! I’d recommend considering using the MIDI Maestro for this purpose, as you can program the 6 buttons to your liking. This way, you can customize your setup to suit your needs.

Yes, sir! MIDI Maestro is the way to go! I use mine all the time!

I too could really do with a 3 or 4 button footswitch - happily pay £60/70 - can’t afford £250 for a midi maestro… just want to be able to add 2 or 3 different accents or the ability to select a verse, a chorus, or bridge at will without having to go through sequentially.

There might be some midi controllers within that price range but can’t find them right now

I bought this controller, but not to use with the Beat Buddy (poor man’s alternative to Maestro :upside_down_face:). The software does have a template for Beat Buddy, but can likely be edited to what you may be trying to do. Amazon also has other variations of this type foot controller, but I don’t know of their capabilities.

Try to find a Behringer MIDI Footcontroller FCB 1010 they are not that expensive and have a lot of options, there are youtube video’s of how to set it up for the BB

Great, thanks I’ll give it a go… I’m not clued up on midi, just about manage to sync my Aeros! :scream:
