Use Aeros as a Traditional Looper Without Triggering Beatbuddy

Sorry, can’t find this one in the forum. I have Beatbuddy connected to Aeros and sometimes while performing a would like to impromptu loop a chord progression as you would any traditional looper, but I don’t want to trigger Beatbuddy. How can I do that if Beatbuddy is always integrated?

I also have the Midi Maestro in my set up if that helps.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out! Please send us an email at support@singularsound.com with all the details about your setup, and we’ll help you figure this out.

Thank you!

Im having same issue. could you please.post your solution? My setup is Aeros as Transmitter to BB with a custom setup on Maestro.

Use midi behavior in the handfree menu
Set to rev off for only Aeros
Set to TR merge for aeros and BB synced

Here’s what worked for me…
In 2x2, I created a song template for when I don’t want BB to accompany me. In the template I just changed the setting in SONG GRID MODE to FREEFORM. I of course call the template 2x2 Freeform. This puts you into a more traditional looper mode ready to loop when you are. Oh and I also keep BB as the transmitter of the BPM even though it isn’t relevant in this setup. I just always have BB as the master, haven’t played with Aeros as master yet.

Thanks above to those who provided input.
