I’ve realized that the MIDI sync only works on some time signatures. I have a few songs in 6/8, and while the VL3 will properly match the BPM, it’ll be off due to an inability to match the time signature. It took me a while to figure out what was going on… I thought one of the devices was having intermittent issues, until I realized that I could see the BPM change to the correct number.
I’ve submitted a ticket to TC Helicon, hopefully they’ll address it in firmware.
