I am going to be using live looping and/or pre-recorded live percussion backing tracks for my percussion, so won’t be investing in the Beat Buddy. That said, I’m looking to have a few more buttons to trigger various options on the Aeros (I’m already deathly afraid of reaching for the top left button and hitting both the top and bottom button at the same time, causing utter chaos at a live show). What are folks using to get a few extra buttons (the Midi Maestro seems like overkill as I only need 2 or 3)?
I like the controllers for Morningstar. They have an MC3. The MC6 Pro is great.
In the long run, I would recommend considering the MIDI Maestro, as it can be used with other devices as well and is currently listed as the top MIDI controller. It also has a built-in Aeros mode, and you’ll receive support from the forum and can reach out at support@singularsound.com if you have questions.
Thank you for the suggestion! Looks like a very good solution (the MC3 is exactly what I’m looking for).
I’m definitely considering it, Daniel - it’s just that right now I don’t have an additional $100 to spend. Any chance you’ll make a “mini” version like you’ve done with the Beat Buddy, with only three pedals instead of six? I’d buy that in a heartbeat.
DOREMiDi MC-3 is exactly what you’re looking for
