The only reason I bought the BB was because they were advertising that autopilot was coming soon.
Autopilot- COMING SOON
With a single press, the BeatBuddy will play a song in its entirety while still allowing you to interact with it as usual.
Of course, it never happened. I don’t use BBMO, I just don’t like it at all. So, when I do use the BB, I still use the old BBM. TBH I don’t use the BB much because of this and have even thought of getting rid of it.
The only reason I’ve kept it all these years is because of hope that eventually they would make good on their word, but I think we all know that’s very unlikely. It’s a shame because the pedal is good and it sounds great, but I play covers, and I don’t do looping. So, I find it a pain to use TBH, when I have used it it’s with some of the OP songs made by the community. When I bought it, I also bought the complete songs library, but that was a waste of money too.
I keep hoping a third-party company will make something similar but with decent software and the ability to play the songs from start to finish like the autopilot would have done, but as it’s not happened it’s probably because there’s not enough money in doing it.
So, when I’m doing a solo gig I’m still using simple drum and base backing tracks, and the BB sits on the shelf!
