Which type of cable is best from BB to mixing desk channel for live shows? I have used a male XLR to jack mainly in the past, also is there a great difference using BB in stereo live, if you do, do you pan it hard Left and Right?
My understanding is that BB output is not balanced, so using XLR shouldn’t help
About panning, it depends entirely on the drum set that how hard panning there is already in the instrument samples. The default drum sets that I have used either don’t have panning (panned to middle) or have it very mildly as I haven’t noticed while playing We use full left/right panning
You should use TS Jack cables (one ring on the metallic portion) with the BeatBuddy. For best results, pan L mono hard left and R hard right. You can use either Jack to XLR or just TS jack to TS jack cables. If you’re using a long cable with a Jack-Jack connection, consider buying a DI box.
