Why American buyers don't have to pay international postage?

The Beatbuddy is made in China and distributed in Hong Kong.

But why American buyers don’t pay international postage and we have to pay? I am in Melbourne Australia and paid $30 (I think) for international postage.

Re: Why American buyers don’t have to pay international post

Good point. We are in fact closer to Hong Kong.

Re: Why American buyers don’t have to pay international post

All I know is that they were bulk shipped to the US and then sent on from there, what I don’t understand is why they did not do the same with the shipments to Canada.

Re: Why American buyers don’t have to pay international post

Bulk shipment still costs money.

Re: Why American buyers don’t have to pay international post

Singular Sound is a US company, so I’m sure they wanted the product in hand to at least do some QC, and packaging. If I were them, I would NOT ship direct from factory either. Most companies don’t ship direct from factory (at least from China) to customer. I feel your pain on the shipping though.

Thanks for that, c.granger, I was going to say this myself. Be it a Canada-based company, I’m sure buyers from Canada would be free from international payments.

Ah, ok. I thought I saw Miami somewhere on the packaging. Is there a Miami in Canada?

Now this makes sense.
