WORDS OF LOVE (Holly/Beatles) - OPB

First done by Buddy Holly in ‘57 and then popularized by the Beatles in ‘64, it never was considered one of Holly’s better songs, but was always considered “important” because of the lead guitar work and the vocal track doubling on a one track recorder in a garage. George Harrison embellished that lead, added a variation of it in the middle 8. In fact, most people say they like the Holly version better when in fact they’re listening to the Beatles version… that’s how close the vocals are.

Anyway… here it is, and there’s a link to the Ultimate Guitar website for a complete tab. Work on that lead riff…it’s killer!

A 1963 BBC recording…George hasn’t worked out that extra interlude.
