WRECK OF THE EDMUND FITZGERALD (OPB) - GORDON LIGHTFOOT

I swore Id never do this song. While travelling cross country in Canada o many years ago, this was overplayed. But over the last few years, its grown on me. So, here it is.

The riff is tabbed out for you. Id listen to the recording while following the cheat as Lightfoot doesn’t use even timings on all of his verse lines. I’ve indicated lines that should HOLD. Note also that the inter-verse riffs also aren’t of the same length. I’ve indicated that as well. It important to listen for the kick drum at as a cue when to start the next verse. Can be a bit tricky.

Personally, I think that an Asus2 works better than an A at the end of most lines, but its up to you.

Tune uses SUB-std PRO SWN Bass 0-31. (Kick and bass volumes have been adjusted in the midi)

I only play Asus2 for A major

This sng won’t play. Just a cymbal crash and it’s over.
