I no longer have an Aeros but considering buying one again. I have a couple quick questions. In 2x2 mode can I record a percussive loop on track one (locked) and have that play throughout while I switch between part one and two on track 2? In addition can both parts 1 and 2 (on track 2) be overdubbed on?
Also when I owned an Aeros in 2023 I experienced a problem of audio popping when changing song parts. Has that been fixed?
Correct this is possible and yes we have fixed all regularly occurring pops

There are far fewer complaints about popping noises on this forum since firmware 5.2.1, but they can still be found, mainly in this thread: Intermittent LOUD Popping Noises when switching between song parts
Unfortunately, we cannot fix things that happen intermittently and that can not be reproduced reliably.
As I said, all repeatable pops have been fixed and likely the one that is being asked about in this thread was as well.
