Hi there - I have had my BB for 2 days now and it is superb.
Yes it took a bit of learning with the BB Manager but Im there now.
I keep reading about songs with bass lines included. Are these purchaseable from BB ir do I have to create my own?

Singular Sound only produces multi-part beats (Default Content) and songs (Premium Library Content) with drums.
Forum users create drum sets with drums, bass and other instruments as well as songs. To use the songs, you will need to download, import and activate the drum set in the BeatBuddy Manager (BBM) that the song was crafted with.
There are thousands of user- created songs and hundreds of multi instrument drum sets. Use the forum search function for a song title.
