BBMO is a vast improvement over the desktop version. Workflow is so much better. Still, it has a few quirks:
First note of a pattern doesn’t always play, initially. Quantizing doesn’t help. And this goes for stock beats and custom.
CTRL + C and CTRL + V commands don’t work. If I’m honest, I’ve seen it work once, but that’s it.
CTRL + A command doesn’t work consistently. Instead of always selecting all notes, it frequently (most of the time for me) selects the entire web page.
Also, a bit distracting, BBMO uses SHIFT to select individual notes. Typically, the SHIFT key is used to selected a continuous range, one item after another, whereas CTRL is used to select individual notes regardless of their position or location.
I was reworking a pattern where everything was shifted one beat forward. After I corrected and saved the pattern, I used ‘Double Beat’ to double the length. The entire new part was shifted forward by a beat. I tried whatever I could think of to correct this behavior including undoing the move, saving, closing the browser, emptying the cache, and bringing up BBMO again but the problem persisted. Best guess is that the song retained some elements of the original shifted pattern and involved them again when I doubled the pattern.
I’m also wondering why there isn’t a command to raise or lower the volume all selected notes at the same time.
*Sorry for all the edits. I thought I was wrong about something, but I was wrong about that.
Although this does not address all of the issues you identify, it should help with some of them.
In what context are you trying to use CTRL-C and CTRL-V? p48 of of the BBMO user manual might help. CTRL/CMD-C the notes you’ve selected and then just make sure you’ve placed the playhead where you want the notes and then CTRL/CMD-V.
Works consistently for me using Vivaldi. I click within the MIDI editor window and press CTRL-A and all of the notes are selected.
Thank you for the detailed feedback — we really appreciate you taking the time to share this
Just a quick note: we don’t allow batch requests on the forum. Each issue needs to be posted as a separate, concise post, which helps us assist more effectively and report individual bugs to the dev team when needed. For this reason, I’ve moved your post to the appropriate category.
Please create a separate post for each issue you encounter. When reporting an issue, make sure to include:
Your computer’s OS
The browser you’re using
The exact steps to reproduce the issue
Being able to reproduce the problem is essential for troubleshooting and investigation.
Thanks again for your understanding and for helping us improve BBMO! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
If I understand correctly, you are telling me that if I want these points to be considered, I should create separate posts for each point listed above. Yes?
I want to make sure I understand how I should proceed. Should I be sending an email directly to support, or should I be posting somewhere in the forum, and if so, where specifically? Thanks!!
