BeatBuddy Loader On Mac Sonoma

I’ve download and am trying to run The BeatBuddy Loader on my MacBook Pro with Sonoma.
It doesn’t open. Anybody know what’s going on?
Doesn’t work with Sonoma yet?
If so when is an update coming out?

It worked for some Mac Silicon users but not all. It, along with the BeatBuddy Manager (BBM) is no longer supported so you might want to give the BBMO a try

Thanks! Looks like that might be the answer for now!

Hi Jack,

If you send us an email at support@singularsound.com, we can provide you with a link that works with Sonoma.

Just wrote to You, 1rst of march 2025: BeatBuddy Loader won’t open on M1 max running macOS 15.3.1 …
Any news about that issue?

There is no active support for or ongoing development of the Loader which has been replaced by the BBMO.

Where is it to be found?
OK. Installed Opera… what comes next (link, website, other…)?

You might find the forum search function helpful: BeatBuddy Manager Online - Release Announcement!

Please read David’s notes as well as downloading and browsing (better yet, reading) the BBMO User Manual: BeatBuddy Manager Online Manual

Thank you.
OK: I just had a little try… One browser for only one goal… well, well…
I would feel safer with a local solution (application in the box). But, anyway, I guess everything can also be backed up to any hard drive (in case worldwide communications got troubles)

True. Or, you can fall back and use the legacy app, the BeatBuddy Manager (BBM) which does manage and file your project content locally: BeatBuddy Manager Software 1.64 (Win/Mac) LEGACY

This Manager app is the one I usually open… But it looks like there is no function for creating Playlists on that one. Or does it secretly, somewhere?

Since I don’t rely on Playlists, I’m not exactly certain that the BBM creates the Playlists and allows you to manage them as does the BBMO.

However, I think that the Playlists feature can be managed on the pedal as long as the firmware has been updated to 4.1.6

Yes, maybe this opération could be possible directely on the pedal. But, as I’m a newby with the Buddy, I find the triggering with the pedal’s interface is quite complicated compared to a visual screen UI… As I’m rather old, my learning curve i’snt that good anymore
I guess, within a few weeks, I’ll be able to get some playlists done on the online app.

Hey, join the aged crowd. I’m no longer a young rooster either…

You may surprise yourself at how easy it becomes once you gain familiarity with the process in the BBMO.
