BeatBuddy Manager 1.50.1 (Windows/Mac)

Thanks, I’ve dragged the Final content v 120 - SD card file onto the SD card where it downloaded over a few minutes, but never appeared with the other songs, although I could see it in grey above the active panel. When I put the card into the BB it doesn’t appear to be there. Any help here would be appreciated
Thanks Jeremy

Where can i download the 1.5.0.1 version? No email notification too…thanks David…

Contact me via email. We’ll do another phone session.

Does anyone know when the new version of the manager (without the 500 note limit) will be available. I had another trainwreck at the weekend :frowning:

Look up one on this post. I’m using the new beta it’s awesome.

I just downloaded and installed 1.5.0.1.
It still has the 500 note limit !
Are you sure that is the right link ?

Compliments on the OSX version of the Beat Buddy manager.
Used it for the first time this weekend and watched the instructional video done by Psalm 40 and discovered that I can drag and drop! Very, very cool and nice job people!

You need the beta 1.6 version (for no 500 note limit) which you can only request by emailing beatbuddy support at the moment (see http://mybeatbuddy.com/forum/index.php?threads/bb-16-0.5145/#post-19597).

I would should appreciate knowing where to go to see this video for BB Manager install on a MAC, since instead of making progress I am going behind!.Please advise how I see this video, I do not seem to be able to find it. Thank you kindly

Hi labren. Not sure there’s a Mac specific video. Other users have followed the Windows tutorial videos as general guidelines. What Mac OS version are you using and what are the problems you are having?

Wow, sure great to hear from you. I use Yosemite 10.10.5 on an iMac. Using the pedal is fine, but it all goes wrong when I try and use the software. I downloaded the BeatBuddy Manager fine and it goes into my applications ok…I then drop the BB Workspace in my documents as a folder.

Persist, thank you for offering to help me. I am using Yosemite 10.9.5 in an iMac. I will list my steps and you may see something wrong.

  • I download 10.9.5 BB Manager for Mac. Asks me to drop the BB icon on the application folder, I do this. It asks me to drop the BB workspace folder into recommended “documents” folder. I do this. When I open the BB Manager in “Applications”…BB opens along with 2 windows.
The small window says “invalid project file location: / volumes/NO NAME/NO NAME.bbp is not in proper location. Missing required files and/or folders.” The 2nd window opened at the same time…at the top it says “choose BeatBuddy Manager Workspace location.” The top folder inside this window is BB Workspace, so I highlight it and click open at the bottom prompt. A window comes up and says “do you want to reset the last navigation location”? So I select Yes. Following online video I insert the BB SD Card into the card slot on the iMac, and then I go to File in top left of BB Manager and click “open project” A window opens and at top titled “Open Project” I then select the SD card file listed on the left of the same window. Another window opens and says “It looks like you are loading a project directly from your card and asks me if I want to save a copy” I select “yes”…it then asks me to name the copy so I call it “project 1” and click save. Starts copying files into BB Manager. A window opens "do you want to link the new project for future synchronization? so I select “yes”. Next following the video online for SD Card Backup…I download the SD Card file. It downloads as a “Final Content file”. I drag it to the desktop and click “file” in BB Manager and then click “open project”, as per online video. I navigate to the Final Content file on the desktop, and the click “open” at the command line. Window pops up says “/users/LBT/Desktop/final content v120-sd card files is not a valid project file” I click the highlighted OK prompt.
That is it, I have watched video many times and followed them I believe correctly. I can use the BB Pedal with the card inserted, but I would sure like to be able to use the software. Perhaps someone using a Mac will spot what I am doing wrong and maybe help sort it out for me. I really like the pedal.
Thank you kindly for any assistance you can pass my way. Sorry to take so long to get this reply, but I wanted to delete everything I had and run trough it again step by step and right it down, which I have done.

Hi echoraven, did you watch a video for installation of BB Manager on a MAC? Please advise and direct me to location if so.
Thank you kindly, Labren

Hi Echoraven, please see my post explaining my issues. if you have a mac you are probably better at it than I am and perhaps might be able to see what I am doing wrong. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you kindly, Labren

Why are you trying to open “final content v120”? That is the SD card back (I think) and once you open the project from your SD card (as you have done) all the data will be copied from it to your chosen location - the is nothing else you need to do. If your SD is corrupt the you copy the contents of “final contents v120” to the SD card over writing everything. Most likely this file is a Zip archive, but you shouldn’t need to do this anyway.

Hiya all. Last time I came across the PDF version of the BeatBuddy Manager User Manual somewhere, and I have been trying to locate it anywhere to no avail. Can anyone help me as to where I can download it? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried the BeatBuddy Manager menu Useful Links/User Manual?

Hi, its the BBmanger last version working fine with snow leopard 10.6.8? I have these in the laptop and is working perfect for me but the BB app is not running here… Can you please send me previus version of the BBManager for the 10.6.8? My mail is teatrodelasfuentes@gmail.com
Thanks

Sorry, yosoychema. Recommended for 10.9.5 and above. You’ll have to contact support@mybeatbuddy.com to see if they have an earlier version of BB Manager that will work on 10.6.8 (pero dudo que lo tienen).

I am running Mac 10.11.4 I’ve downloaded several times… Drag and drop the BB Manager onto the Application folder. Deleted and then repeated. Plugged the BB into the Mac, turned on. Not once has the Manager open or even tried to start. I know I am missing something. Watched the video but keep banging my head on the desk (and not to my beat). Is there a fix? Thanks
