Hi - is there a way to get a listing of all the folders, and the beats in them, that are in a project/SD card? It would make searching for beats much easier (for me, at least). Can BBMO do this? Or is there some way to export a list?
Sorry if this is covered somewhere, but I can’t any instructions on how to do this.
This is my latest song/beat match list. It pairs premium as well as stock beats to songs. And it has almost twice as many songs as the previous song list, most of which I compiled from other people’s song lists. Hope you find it useful.
Thank you VERY much for taking the time to reply! These lists are very helpful and I know I will use them. However, what I’m looking for is a way to get the list of the .BBS “names” that are in the config.cvs file in each of the SONGS folders in my BB project. For example, in my SONGS\FBB63E47 config.cvs file, the list is:
I want to get a list of all the Tango, Piazzolla, Polka, etc. names in each of the folders so I can quickly look to see all of the beats I have available on my SD card. I have 105 folders, so it would take a LOT of time to do this manually. Any ideas?
I think Singular techs should be able to provide a tool that parses config files. The output should contain the name of the folders and all of the names of songs/beats within each. You’d point the tool to the parent folder and hit ‘Go’. It would open each config file, extract the relevant data, put it in the correct format within a .csv file that you could open with Excel or the equivalent. Then open the next config file in queue and append the output to the .csv file. Rinse, repeat til done. Then we’d take the .csv and open it in a spreadsheet. From there we’d be able to sort by folder name or song name. @DanielSingularSound what do you think? Or is this already a thing? Thanks.
Ok. Found it. I exported the ‘ASW BB beatsRecap’ output to a .csv file so I could load it into a spreadsheet. When I loaded the spreadsheet, the whole .csv tried to fill one row which is not what I was looking for. So I went back and saved the beatsRecap output to .txt, then opened it in Notepad and saved it a .csv. That worked for the most part. I also had to replace all ‘-’ (dashes) with ‘,’ (commas) so that song names and artist names appeared in their own columns. This is why I was hoping Singular would provide a program for this. It’s nice that someone took a stab at this but I’m looking for a ‘toaster’, not an Ikea project.
Hi all,
I asked Goran Rista for a list of the songs. In less than two hours he created one and put it on the gorangrooves website. Talk about quick support! Here is the link:
