I actually prefer it on higher end hardware as well! Towards the beginning of Win 10 roll out there was issue with drivers I’ll admit, but it hasn’t been an issue at all for me lately either here in office or on my Home PCs.
I DID have a Windows major update brick my work laptop (it burned all of my drivers). But it was a WORK laptop, so I was okay with that.
Hell, it’s almost a feature.

Oh dear, how unfortunate! java is still, from what I have read, quite open to hacking you know! It is better than it was but it is still a security risk platform to create apps with!
