Ok here is what I did. I imported the common midi track into the Logic project. I deleted everything but the drum track. I slice it and slice it again as the 500 character limit to the each part on the BeatBuddy Manager software (which is pretty low count tbh). I pressed play on the BeatBuddy Manager… of the whole drum kit I can hear the hi-hats and the kick. On the Logic it plays brilliant. I tried to move the snare and other things up and down so I can get it working in the BeatBuddy but no luck. It limits everything that I want as I don’t play any of the music genres that comes on the BeatBuddy SD Card.
You need to check out the MIDI note numbers in your file. Currently BeatBuddy covers a pretty narrow subset of MIDI notes, and other (uncovered) notes will simply produce no sound without any warning.
Use note 36 for kick drum instead of 35. Use 38 for snare as 40 will not work.
There has been a lot of discussion on this topic on the forum already.

Hi there. Thank you sooooo much for those links. I remap it and it is fine. However now if I want to transfer this to the beatbuddy pedal, how did you manage for pedal to be recognised by your mac? It shows USB DEVICE CONNECTED but i can’t find it on the system nor the beatbuddy manager.

BeatBuddy is currently known to be non-functional at all when it is connected via USB. This may get changed some day in the future.
Unfortunately, as Mac offers much less default drivers than Windows, it is unable to detect the BeatBuddy. We will need to develop a special Mac driver to add this support. Windows didn’t require any such driver (it already comes shipped with a suitable one), that’s why BeatBuddy detects perfectly on Windows.
Thank you. I have been advised to try with USB SD Card reader which worked perfectly. I loaded up heaps of my stuff onto the beatbuddy that way. No need for the driver anymore. It is OK to use it that way. Cheers
Hi. Where can I find this link?

I searched this forum using “Apples Logic daw can remap” and come up with the link on this forum. Since the attachments are no longer available, I don’t know how helpful the link will actually be.
