Lonely Is The Night - DOP, OPB & OPBk

Billy Squier

Notes:

  • Count-in included
  • Outro fade-out
  • As transcribed, there are no drum beats following the count-in until the 15th bar. I worked up pacing drum hits to fill the 15 bars and included them as separate MIDI files corresponding to each song format.
  • What’s updated? Different source file (not included); 2 new versions; adjusted velocities; refreshed cheat sheet.
  • Link (in blue font) to new user resources

Song version_________Suggested kit

v2 OPB______________SUB-Std Pro PL Bass 0-31
v4 OPBk-strings______STAX 4 octave piano & strings

Includes: 3 songs, MIDI source file and Chords & Lyrics; 3 MIDI files formatted to BeatBuddy Manager (BBM) with pacing drum ticks during drumless intro

Very cool! I’m using V3, loving it.
From Olivia Rodrigo to Billy Squier… how DO you do it? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Is it possible for me to delete the drumless intro and just kick it in at my own pace?
Thanks again, great job on this one!

It should be but best to do the edit with a DAW, especially for the v3 song. I would not use the built–in BBM MIDI Editor.

Here’s the trimmed v3 that does away with the count-in and the 15 bars of blank space:

My DAW of choice these days is Audacity.

Wow, thanks. You’re too much!
I’ll give it a shot.
Great job!
