Loop trail mode

For us soundscapers, it would be cool to have a loop trail mode… when you step to stop a track, it just fades out (perhaps some adjustable time?) instead of stopping on the beat. This will be even more essential in freeform mode.

+1 for a fade-out option for the stop switch. My first looper was a JamMan and I bought an EHX 720 specifically to get this capability. I use it all the time. I was enticed recently by the new Pigtronix Infinity 2 for it’s 2 part function and fading, but holy crap! Today I discovered the Aeros and it’s the ultimate! (Except for the fadeout thing. Which seems like a no-brainer to add, so I’m very hopeful) I actually ordered a Beat Buddy this very day after salivating over it since it first popped up in crowd funding promos. I then stumbled upon the Aeros (which it seems has not gotten anywhere near the promotion the Beat Buddy has) and I was blown away. It’s pricey, yes, but far outclasses all the other pricey loop stations and with a smaller footprint and much more user-friendly interface. I’m just about as impressed as I can be. But PLEASE give us the fadeout! Gotta have it. I will be ordering as soon as I find out it can do that.

The loop aging on the orginal Infinity would be amazing to have on the Aeros, although I’m not sure how difficult it would be to implement. But I’d be happy with some sort of fade out, for sure.

Hard and abrupt endings just doesn’t sound good. For “normal” songs and especially for drones this trail fade out would be cool.

It would be cool if we could adjust the fade out length. For example: 1/4, 1/2 or 2/1 of loop phrase 1 (or 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6).

Similar to this, given the sequential ‘parts’. I would really like a cross fade functionality. I know they are building in a very quick micro fade to get rid of the clicks you hear when switching to a layered up loop.

But I think something a bit bigger than that. So that say in the last 1/4 measure of your loop it starts to fade, but it starts to fade in the next part from the same relative position (in my example -1/4 measure from the start of the new loop). That way transitioning between parts would sound less abrupt

May be it will be nice (too) to assign a “end part” with the stop button… like the BB outfill… for nice ends

+1 for fading out over time. It would be nicer than using the volume wheel although that seems to work ok but would be nice if you could preset a fade out time

In keeping with the “end of the loop” paradigm, it would be cool if the fade out was back-timed to the end of the loop. EX: if set to 2 sec fadeout, no matter where you pressed the the stop switch during the loop, it would start the fade out 2 sec. before the end and complete it exactly at the end of the loop. Another cool thing would be for double press to stop the loop immediately but with a very short fade, say 1 sec. Or make both the end of loop fade length and the double press/immediate fade length setable.

Really looking forward to this option. That’s all this pedal need to really shine.

On other parts it’s set itself miles apart from other loop stations in my opinion. But that option is really missed. I was having a Boss RC 300 before.

But the Aeros in combination with the beat buddy is amazing

New to the forum and just adding my hopeful support for a loop fade out feature! I’m a long term RC-300 user and would buy an Aeros and Beatbuddy today if I could fade my loops. I’m sort of a free time loop instrumentalist and am really interested in all of the Singular Sound products. But, I rely heavily on my ability to fade out my loops. So, +1 for this feature!

I’ve been one of the voices requesting panning and fade instead of hard stops.

I know you a re working to have more frequent/smaller updates…so I’d vote for putting the FADE nearer the top of the list. I’d use that a lot right away.
Panning would be great…but I’m realizing I need it more on the inputs, as there I can control where the sound appears amidst overdubs on the same track. If I could only pan recorded tracks overdubs would already be on to of the original recording. But …if I had to, I can pan I puts at my mixer feed the Aeros…so FADE is more immediately useful

Just puttin g that into the mix.
Thanks,
Dave

+1 for Programmable Fade Out. I’m a Infinity Looper user, but I ll migrate to Aeros soon.

That loop aging feature of the Infinity was one of its strengths, I think. Made for some serious soundscape evolution possibilities.

Do you think that is possible this feature on Aeros? (I’ll thinking a feedback from 0 to 100 (like Digital Echoplex)… but in every track individually…

I know we have a planned fade to stop option but it is not currently a priority for us, so I will tag this on med-long term, thank you all for your feedback!

https://forum.singularsound.com/u/BrennanSingularSound Any idea when the expression pedal jack will become operational? Well it only control volume on the loop or defeat input volume also?

The expression pedal can also be used to control the loop fade, like one could do on the infinity. I don’t mean as a volume control, I mean to control the rate of the fade.

There is no news on that front right now, no.
