I am using Studio one to edit some tracks. I can use groove monkee drums and customize. I recently started using on of the drum kits from the forum that has bass. ive yet to find a way to merge the bass and drum tracks to transport to the BB. If S1 will not do this perhaps there is a utility that might perform this task?
To my knowledge, there is no utility. This is normally performed using a DAW such as Studio 1, Reaper, MidiEdit or Logic Pro. There are many other DAWs as well such as Cakewalk and Ableton.
Search the S1 user manual for functions such as Combine, Merge or Join while editing MIDI tracks or regions. If PreSonus has a forum, you can check there. If you’re lucky, an S1 user will chime in with the solution here.
I started out using a free version of Studio but found it too hard to figure out how to perform the simplest of tasks—I didn’t find much help in the manual. Had to give it up. Moved to Reaper which is trialware. It works well on macOS and Windows. It was too PC-like so I ended up using Logic Pro X, which I’ve been using ever since.
Thanks, I’ve noted many people using logic pro. Seems to be a good pipeline for BB.
If you’re a Mac user, you can try GarageBand to see what you think. Apple allows you to try Logic Pro X free for 90 days.
Thanks. I’m a long time Mac user but somehow this escaped my scrutiny. I’ve been using an older OS but moving production to more current hardware. This could fit the bill…
Holler if and when you need help. Phil_Flood has posted several Logic Pro X tutorials to this forum.
Sometimes I have trouble finding things on the forum. Where would I locate Phil’s instruction?
