Back to the Dead today after a short respite to work on a blues tune that I have not yet posted. I’ve skipped Mission in the Rain, for now, hoping we get some tempo control with the Midi Maestro. Mississippi Half Step was already posted, and the version I did earlier still holds up.

So, for this little number, we re-visit the STAX Coffee House kit, to get the old hammered dulcimer and banjo working.

Original recordings of a collection of interesting stuff. Djembe, Monkey Stick (mine is all metal with tambourine style jingles), a rain stick, Uzbek Doira, aka Uzbek Tambourine, open tambourine, mallets and a box of chess pieces. Try it out. Note that in the documentation, i refer to the Doira as a Kazakh tambourine. My bad, and my apologies to both Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan for the confusion. This includes the .sng, merged midi file and pdf cheat. The original has a slight tempo change between the verse and bridge sections. The song seems to hold up well enough without that change, but again, if we get tempo change features with the Midi Maestro, I’ll make an edit.
