1. I believe it does if you don’t set it to mono in the settings
2. If you set it to mono in settings, it blends/merges the stereo signal for the mono output.

We did not create a detection method, simply because it would become very complicated and we found it best to use a setting. The setting is to send audio out in mono or in stereo, the setting affects both the headphone out and the left and right outs of the BB.

Hey there, Yes this is likely because the Drum Set has stereo Wav files that have phase issues when turned into mono To have a truly unfettered mono experience, the original files must be mono, or at least recorded and checked for mono compatibility before being loaded into BB It is meant as a quick solution setting for people that may only have one channel on the mixer available, but we always recommend the stereo for the fullest sound an experience with the BB Thanks for the question!

Audio settings

This is likely due to something beyond our control: comb filtering (phase issues) To make a very complex topic as simple as possible, depending on the stereo source material, it may actually sound “wrong” or “filtered”, even quieter when immediately monoized. I imagine that when you set the signal to be mono, the source material has some phase issues and this is causing the change. That is my best bet, basically things that are stereo aren’t always able to be monoized without “distortion”, in…
