Simple Functions of BBMO Not Working Properly

Funky things are happening when I change the order of a song in a playlist.

Either the 3-dot menu doesn’t function for all songs, it pops up for a flash, but doesn’t stay visible for selecting.

Or, the song becomes corrupt/unplayable, with the following error message:

Error reading song: B67B383D/Act Naturally Copy

I am Using Chrome ( up-to-date)
Windows 10 Pro

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out!

Could you please do a screen recording of the issue? This way, I can forward it to the dev team so they can take a look at it. Thank you!

Send it to support@singularsound.com or attach it here.

Hello.

Problem seems to occur after I change the order of a song in a playlist by dragging song up or down.

This problem occurs with the project I have been building since the beginning of this year
and
to a default project before I had done anything with it.

Attached:

  • Image of error message

I also replied by eMail with the attachment:

  • Screen recording demonstrating the three-dot menus beside songs popping up for a flash then disappearing.

At this point, I am stopped cold from adding new songs to my playlist.

HELP!

I tried on another Windows PC, same issues.

Happening on my iMac as well. Very frustrating to say the least.

The dev team is currently investigating the issue and working on a solution. We appreciate your patience.

Until the dev team solves this and other issues, and we get BBMO to 1.5.1 (or 1.6, hehe) I have resorted to creating any new songs, or at least the placeholder, in old clunky BBM, reposition where I like and any further refinements I will do in BBMO, as long as I don’t have to change its position, because then it will get corrupted.

How can I get a legacy copy BBM? I just wasted 4 hours on this. 1/2 the songs are corrupt now. Soon as I move them. I have a gig in 2 days. ugggg
Thanks…

Great … thank you very much…: time to rebuild.
On the bright side, I might build back better …

Hi Daniel. I know the team are doing their best but I wonder if they realise how important the stability of this app is to the musicians who use it. For many this is a business tool. I could correlate it with holding my breath every time I open Word to create a business document. “Is it going to work?”. “Is it going to corrupt that document I have been working on for weeks”.

We only use it as a backstop for when our drummer is unavailable, and it is great for practice. But having that feeling of doom a couple of days out from a gig trying to get the set list and songs sorted is a very negative experience. A lot of us do not spend hours on this system every day, so do need (that is ‘need’ not ‘want’) it to be somewhat intuitive and very reliable when we do reach for it.

I wouldn’t bother posting this if I didn’t have fundamental faith in the product.

Hi Keith,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I understand your concerns, and I can see how important stability is for musicians who rely on the app. However, I’m just a customer and tech support person, but I do report these issues to the development team, and they are doing their best to improve all of our products.

Thank you for your patience and continued support!
