There is no song in SD Card

Hello, I have an issue with my beatbuddy pedal. I probably messed something up accidentaly and now, when I insert an SD card into the pedal, it says “no song”. The thing is that everything works properly in beatbuddy manager - I have everything there and I can do everything. I would appreciate if someone could help me figure out what happened and what I should do.

Thank you so much for your help. I managed to solve the problem

I’m having the same problem. I followed directions to download files onto an SD card (card didn’t come with the pedal), but still receiving the “no song” message. what can I try next? thanks

It could be as simple as the type of card and the format on the card but before we get to that, let’s start from the beginning.

  1. Download and unzip a fresh copy of the SD card to your desktop from BeatBuddy Default Content (SD backup)

  2. Since you may not have the latest firmware on your pedal, download and unzip this file to your desktop as well: Firmware; we’ll get to the install in a few sentences…

  3. Use the BeatBuddy Manager Online (BBMo); if you have not at least browsed the user documentation for the pedal and the BBMo, you might want to do so.

  1. This might be the problem you’re having:
  • Check that the SD card is an SDHC class 10 with at least 4Gb but no more than 32Gb; if not, replace it (you don’t need high speed cards for video cameras)
  • Verify that the SD card is unlocked
  • Use your computer built-in slot reader instead of using the USB connection method with your pedal
  • Verify that the card is formatted as MS-DOS FAT32
  • Select and drag the contents from the SD card to the trash
  • Empty the trash or recycle bin
  1. Select and copy the firmware files from within the unzipped folder on your desktop to the SD card
  2. Select and copy the SD card backup content from within the unzipped folder on your desktop to the SD card
  3. Eject the SD card from your computer
  4. With the power off on your pedal, insert SD card in your pedal and power it up; you should see a message UPDATING FIRMWARE. Allow the firmware update to complete and you should see folders and songs in the pedal display.
