Add arranger feature to Aeros? Or maybe it belongs in Maestro?

What if one can create a map of loop changes to play back in an arrangement automatically? Seems like the bar would be raised in all situations. DAW, live with a band, busking, songwriting. Maybe this is the work of Midi Maestro? Record your loops in AEROS create the arrangement in Maestro. Somehow BB fits in there in a typical AABACA type of arrangement with drum fill, rhythm changes .

Yes, this is an excellent idea … and it’s been talked about recently in the context of one shot parts as well.

I also think that using the AABACA music terminology in the song settings is a great way to add this feature without a huge investment in UI. It could just be a text box into which you could type “AABACA” … and that would be your song … and most people would instantly understand what it means

SS said it was something they would consider in the mid/long term. It would be a natural thing to do after one shot parts.

Creating Song Archetypes

I just ordered my Aeros … but one feature I hope is in there, or planned would be song structure templates…i.e. I could lay out the structure of a song, let’s say its a 2x2, I could setup the tempo, how many bars for part 1 and part 2 and save that as a starting point for a live performance. During the performance I wouldn’t have as much to do re: punching in to establish track lengths, etc I could start recording on track one, knowing where the end of that loop would be. Given that Aeros’s features are designed around creating a Song (songs contain parts, which contain tracks), wondering if you might allow the modeling of the song structure to one more level, allowing users to enter a song structure, which could at its most basic level stipulate: part to play and how many times to play that part before transitioning to the next part after the last part in this defined song structure is played, the song would end Does seem like you’d want to be able to select …

Sequential next part in 6x6 mode

What would be great in addition is to be able to pre-determine any sequence of the song parts. In example, I want to automatic move to next part in a pre-determined sequence like 1-2-1-2-3-4-1-2-3-5-6 according the structure of a given song where part 1 is the verse, part 2 the pre-chorus, part 3 the chorus, part 4 the bridge #1, part 5 the bridge #2, part 6 the outro.
