Aeros files out of sync

I’ve run into an issue with audio that was recorded all of a sudden being out of sync with itself. The loop was recorded well, but after subsequent playbacks all tracks started playing back at different tempos. It seems like some sort of latency issue. The Aeros is synced with Beatbuddy, although the tempo on BeatBuddy will fluctuate between 110 and 109, as an example. Another issue is ghost tracks show up on occasion in a song. I recorded a song and the audio of track one and four got blended together on track one. Part 4 was muted, but kept on playing anyway. I had to erase the song and start from scratch twice. The third time, I disconnected Beatbuddy and just played along with the metronome, but when I resynced with BeadBuddy the tracks were slightly off again.

Sounds like the bpm changed since you recorded the loop?

Easy to happen if you have any type of clock coming in.

No clock. Just Aeros and BeatBuddy. It’s very bizarre. Each loop is way off of the tempo that it was recorded at. Of course this kind of thing only happens to me. Lol

The second statement doesn’t guarantee the first.

Once you connect the Aeros and BeatBuddy you might be passing the clock without realizing it. There are settings to avoid this, and it’s easier to avoid if the Aeros is the master with only Aeros midi out to BB midi in.

Never had this issue until now. Midi out of the Aeros into BB. It feels like there’s some kind of latency. This particular song was recorded perfectly fine. Playback sounds crazy. I have a recording of what’s happening. That song is probably corrupted at this point. Really bizzare stuff is happening. Sometimes track one and two will have the same audio even though something different was recorded. I’ve seen it combine audio from two tracks into one. I go to the mixer to mute a sound and will still hear it because it’s playing on another track. I’ve been gigging with this thing for years, so it’s not like I don’t know how to record into it. It’s super frustrating to spend time recording a song for a gig only to have to erase it because of these ghost glitches.

Hi Nigel,

This issue has been addressed in the latest firmware update for the Aeros, which is currently available in beta. Please update your device, and if the problem persists, kindly send an email to support@singularsound.com with more details.

What’s the ETA for the beta to be an official release?

Ha, I knew I wasn’t losing my mind. Thank you.
