We haven’t seen this issue. Please keep an eye out for it. If you can capture it on video, that would be very helpful.
I will. I added a few more comments.
Link is not working asking to log into Microsoft, then file not available?
Pretty nasty bug here. Aeros thinks its in 4/4 (and sync’d to BB with 4/4), but stays at 6/8.
See attach video. Not sure how to reproduce this but this needs fixing. I know I was using BB/Aeros on songs with 4/4, then 6/8, then 4/4 and clearing the song and editing the time signature. At some point I may have disconnected and ten reconnected the midi (but not sure it that’s relevant). I suspect there is a general problem in this area which likely show up in various ways.
Luckily the display is showing something that doesn’t match. I was going crazy trying to figure out why my loop end wasn’t matching up with the start of the 1st bar.
[OK, forum says video is too big to attach. You’re going to have to trust me. It shows BB at 4/4, edit song at 4/4, save successful but stop page of song still at 6/8. Also noticed 6 divisions in loop bars.]
Please fix.
Hello.
The link to download Firmware version 3.2.10 does not work for me. When I click on it, it takes me to an empty “onedrive” page where there is nothing to download.
Where is the problem . Thank you.
It may have been removed after reports that it was not working properly.
Here is a way to reproduce a similar situation.
With the BB → Aeros connection, if you disable the BB midi outputs, to control the stop/start recording directly from the Aeros footswitches, then recording does not kick in at the beginning of the next bar but starts immediately. When the Aeros song is set with a count-in number, the recording is delayed and starts somewhere during the next bar, but not at the beginning of the bar (in middle depending on when you pressed the record button during the previous bar).
What I expect would be more like (in quantized mode):
- Start BB
- (Not what happens but what I would expect and like) Aeros shows the bar lines and tempo, but is not recording anything. When you play, the wave form is displayed (e.g in grey color) so that you can clearly see where you are currently in the bar. You can play for a while to practice with the rhythm but not record.
- When ready, press record on the Aeros
- Recording starts at the start of the next bar
- Press end record on the Aeros
- Recording stops at the end of the current bar
This simple workflow is really useful to practice a bit for a few bars before starting recording only when ready and confident.
I find it very confusing that it does not work that way out of the box.
The alternative is to control the Aeros from the BB with a few count-in bars or start songs with a “practice” part before recording a new part “for real”, and then delete the practice part.
Edit: I use Aeros Firmware 3.2.10
Ok, replying to myself as I found a combination of settings that permits an almost seamless workflow.
- Enable Midi output on the BB for start/stop/sync but not next part
- On the Aeros global settings, disable record on midi start. Keep only playback on start.
Then you can start the rhythm on the BB, and the song will start on the Aeros but not record. The only thing you don’t have is the display of the wave form while playing.
Then, the record actions (start/stop) will kick in at the beginning of next bars as expected in quantified mode. You can also freely skip song parts on the BB and these won;t be transmitted to the Aeros (another question I had elsewhere on the forum).
So pretty much what I wanted to achieved. Strangely enough, I worked that way in the past for a while but then enabled “record on start” and forgot about that, creating the confusion.
I have problem with download file aeros-3.2.10.bin, link doesn’t work.

What I do wrong?
We were not fast enough (see @persist comment in his latest post).
Hopefully a new version may come in the next coming hours/days…
Meanwhile, waiting for the 3.2.10+ (not sure it will come back with the same version number…), I would like to come back to one of my previous statement:
I said that one month ago, but in between I received a BeatBuddy, and then I do not agree with myself anymore…
My statement was that with 2x2 mode, I could deal with the locking track mechanism because I could choose to start recording with the second track, keeping the first track for later if it’s the one I want to lock… (see this previous post for more in-depth explanation of the use case).
Now with the BeatBuddy in the picture, I can’t do that anymore ! BB will always start the recording with the first track… thus now the only track I could lock is the first one and my work-around to start recording the second track first doesn’t work anymore…
So now I am back to my previous statement and it becomes even more critical:
Hi everybody, very sorry about that. I accidentally used the wrong setting for the download link. It’s now fixed.
@Quad if you can upload an unlisted youtube video, that would be very helpful. You can send the video link directly to @BrennanSingularSound if you like.
Link was fixed! Version 3.2.10 has no known major flaws!
Link is fixed!
The video will be helpful! We have reworked how BB sends time signature info in current tested version, this may or may not fix what you have experienced.
Link is fixed!
Was just a bad link! Sorry for confusion!
If you change the MIDI Start setting on the Aeros Device settings to only Playback, then the Aeros will enter a “Scrolling” mode on empty songs and stay in time.
Glad you figured it out!
It was fixed, link is live!
No need to wait, was just a bad link
We, unfortunately, do not see this coming any time soon, this is going in advanced territory, this is because the Aeros is not currently built in a way that can support this logic.
Super great ! I clearly prefer that
Although I got used to the work-around of starting with track 2 in 2x2, with the Aeros alone (yet in 6x6 this very simple and common use case has still no work-around at all), this trick doesn’t work when using both Aeros and BB as BB will always start Aeros recording using track 1. In this case, this is to be considered as a regression.
Can I ask the question like this (yeah I know, I am a very bad person, what I will do hereafter is absolutely unfair, kids, don’t read that !)
Do you feel explainable the fact that having two devices from the same company, instead of opening new fields and providing extra features resulting of the collaboration of the two, reduces some of my options instead ? Ok, I know, I’m out…
so Ive just spent hours reading a bunch of these threads, and I’ve been so excited to get an Aeros but… this rigidity with the tracks not allowing empty tracks, this linear mentality really drowns the promise for me, in the end I just want 6 tracks or even 5 to be controlled as I please, I want to record track 5, stop track 2, overdub 3… Ive got my midi foot controller I press one button, it sends multiple messages, it takes me to the next part of the song with a press of a button, some pre-recorded parts kick in, im recording new loop, everything is pre mixed (volume and panning)… it’s so simple in my mind but looks like your coding went into a completely different direction and now it can’t be changed, I understand the “song part” functionality and I like it, but without the flexibility… you turn from a page full of words and colors to a new but blank page… I know each product and company has different visions, but this hard structure with your track order, not allowing empty tracks, it compromises too much, I cant leave my tracks pre configured the way i want, the track lock feature, the panning, the volume, and other things. It’s too much for the live artist to play guitar, keys, pads, sing, step on foot midi controller AND pan tracks and adjust volumes… sorry i am frustrated because i really really wanted to buy this looper, and thou the rc505 does what i need… look at its size and interface of that thing, yours is sooo much better, idk, some people are doing landscape music some others are just playing at home, some might just want to be part of this forum and figure things out im sure, but there’s a lot of people like me wanting this looper to be more flexible with the way it handles the tracks, and there is no company doing it. Still waiting for you guys to deliver on the best looper in the world
This was my immediate statement about the rules of locked tracks and other forced linearity–it makes the Aeros not play well with other devices. In other words, I can’t trust the Aeros to be synced with other devices on track changes.
I hope fixing this sync incompatibility with other devices doesn’t drop by the wayside.
Standardized interoperability with other devices and other companies’ products is critical to the continued success of the Aeros.
I have already put up for sale Aeros and BeatBudddy, returning to the RC-10.
Everything turned out to be not as rosy as it seemed.
While the aeros and BeatBuddy combo have their faults, they’re far and away more capable today than an RC-10. So that seems a little melodramatic.
RC-10r is a 2x1 or 1x2 only looper with 2000s-era UI, and considerably poorer sound quality. The drums sound weird, and have some strange musical choices hard coded in. Whatever features you feel are missing in Aeros, RC-10 definitely doesn’t supply them.
These are the videos that put me off it:
