So far Apple has not resolved the BLE transmit error with their latest iOS betas.
Write Apple if you have not done so already.
Have a friend with an Android phone or perhaps a Lenovo tablet help you to update your MM (as per MarkF48 in post 47, above).
Good news and bad news.
Good news: Apple released iOS and iOS iPad 26.3 developer betas 3 just now. The public beta 3 won’t be too far behind and that will most likely be followed by the official release of iOS 26.3 in two or three weeks.
Bad news: MIDI Maestro still not able to complete a firmware or Default Modes update with the pedal.
I just submitted another report to Apple via their Feedback app.
In the same boat here. Bricked since December and frustrated as well. My experience tells me that Apple never fix what they change, which means, SS should get a different programmer to work out changes and stop pointing fingers. Having been part of developing apps for a number of companies in past there has always been a work around. I hope this can be the case here. Being down for 2 months is unacceptable using the current IOS 26.2.1 I would think there would be a sense of urgency specially with BB2 release.
iOS update 26.2.1 dropped. Still showed transmission error on the midi Maestro app. Only tried the first firmware update on the app it didn’t cause a brick but still got the error.
iOS 26.2.1, released in late January 2026, primarily introduced support for the second-generation AirTag, featuring improved Precision Finding, alongside various, unspecified bug fixes
. Despite being a minor update, it reportedly included over 60 system binary changes, covering camera/video pipeline tweaks, audio firmware rebuilds, and updated Bluetooth firmware.
iOS 26.3 Release Candidate was posted 02/04/2026 and it does not fix the Transmission Error problem.
iOS 26.3 released on 2/11/2026 and the Bluetooth connectivity issue has still not been fixed.
I think the bottom line here is Apple updates suck and render certain hardware not to work or work correctly after update . I used to deny updates. Because of this. I have problems with older dv digital cameras via fire wire v thunderbolt . That’s used to work perfectly until updates . My m2 Mac book won’t recognize camera anymore even though It shows a device connected in settings . So cant download video anymore .also my old iMac Pro recognizes camera and will download some video but lost some functions . U could operate camera from computer. But not working right now.seems like similar problems u all having .. Apple says new security updates in operating systems are blocking certain devices. And u have to change your settings . To run older legacy devices in legacy mode to bypass new security in updates in new operating systems . I have not tried this yet . But I did find instructions in apple help online . Thinking this maybe help with. Singular problems too . In conclusion apple. Says it his may work . If not vendor needs to make new software to make hardware compatible with new operating systems with new security features. Good luck .sometimes best not to upgrade apple devices especially new operating system.
Apple released iOS 26.4 developer beta 1 on 2/16/26 and it appears that the BLE Transmit Error has been fixed. I am able to update my Maestro. I tested it three times, Default Modes, firmware and once again for Default Modes. Hope Apple doesn’t botch with subsequent updates.

Here we are 2 months after this post, 5 months after iOS 26 came out and still have a device that doesn’t work at all. The fix is to blame Apple or to use an old operating system. I looked at the online documentation before purchasing and not one place did it disclose there was an issue that renders the device useless (or in fact after showing a diagram that is connects to the original BB with the breakout cable - which is does not). This is so far deceptive it’s almost fraudulent….so angry I can hardly see straight!!!
I understand there was a great deal of frustration over this issue but I don’t believe there was any intent by Singular Sound to deceive anyone as they identified the source of the problem (Apple) along with a suggestion to provide Apple with feedback.
Apple, on the other hand, owns all of the blame as they were responsible for the Bluetooth connectivity issue. It impacted many other iOS 26.x users losing the ability to connect to not just the Maestro but to other BLE devices.
Apple was busy trying to fix 35 security vulnerabilities in the iOS 26.x and iOS iPad 26.x so I don’t know if that had had anything to do with the Transmit Error but I believe it was connected.
If your iOS device can handle iOS 26.4, consider signing up for and installing public beta 1 which should be available in the next week or so.

The problem is, or let’s just say challenge, it’s the fact that nowhere on any information when I went to purchase the device did it say there were vulnerabilities. If it did, I would’ve made a choice either not to purchase it at all or made a decision to wait until I was sure the vulnerabilities were fixed. The only way I found out that there was a problem was to install the unit get it up and running, not be able to connect and then I have to go to the forum to figure out there was a problem. In my world that’s not how we do business. They should clearly state, giving someone an opportunity before purchase that there is an issue they not. They made an intentional choice not to say anything.
Vulnerabilities are everywhere. I just don’t understand why a midi device would place all of its stability, upgrades and firmware on technology that doesn’t necessarily require it.

I have no clue why Beat Buddy 1 has USB while the BB2 does not.. AEROS has both WIFI and USB???. While, Midi Maestro (a device that doesn’t even need USB), has no fail safe.
Make it make sense.
…and, persist, since you’ve decided to moderate on behalf of SS, this is from the online manual, out of date information - BB1 breakout cable-to-MM connection doesn’t work, nor is there an offered alternative, nor is it disclosed anywhere - these are both female end connectors. As I spent 4 hours rewiring a pedalboard to accommodate a device that’s been sold for 5 month that doesn’t work, in the end I find this is an issue also. Not informing purchasers of product issues is like Best Buy selling a refrigerator that they full well know doesn’t get cold & telling the customer “go tell Samsung it’s not cold” - shouldn’t have been sold to start with.

Hi, thanks for the update. I’m on 26.4 Beta but still getting a transmission error. I’ve tried toggling bluetooth, rebooting and relogging in but no joy on either the Ipad for phone. Is there anything i’m missing ? Thanks.
