Will updating the firmware to 4.1.7 make it incompatible with BBM, I don’t use BBMO.

I don’t know if you are reluctant to use BBMO because you fear it will mess things up or you have no internet connectivity to configure your BB. I was SUPER reluctant to use BBMO. I gig regularly and didn’t want to mess with my system of things. With that said, BBMO has been great. So far for me, it just works.
I made a copy of my BB directory and used BBMO with that copy just in case things went south. It has just worked and it works well. There is a learning curve, nothing too bad though.
I know this was not your question, however, if it is due to reluctance of the BBMO software it is solid. The PC version is not being updated any more I don’t think.

I’d like to echo Rick’s words. I also have been super-resistant to switching to BBMO. Like Rick, I’m working every week using my BB—it’s essential to my set-up. BBM has, and still is, working absolutely fine but I was getting concerned about becoming left in the dust as SS are only concentrating on BBMO. Like Rick, I bit the bullet and moved to BBMO. I have to say BBMO is excellent—several things are far simpler to do than in BBM.
Which would I prefer? BBM or BBMO?……..if I’m honest I wish that BBM had those extra features that BBMO does, ie: I wish SS devs would create a new BBM that looks and behaves like BBMO does. But I’m pretty sure that ain’t gonna happen. However, again as Rick said, give BBMO a go. You might be, as I was, pleasantly surprised!

Thanks for the reply, I wont be moving to BBMO as I mainly need to work off line so BBMO isn’t available. Plus I don’t like it and I think the way SS acted is not acceptable, they said we would get an installable app to replace BBM and then went with the easiest/cheapest option that suited them, not their users. So I still use BBM, my main concern is if I upgrade the firmware will it stop me from using BBM

Editor of beats does not work properly with 6/8. Ticks are not properly divided.
Wanted to upload the image that shows 3 ticks (1/16th) from 1→ 1.2
Midi was imported from LogicProX. In Odd time 3rd song it is properly divided in 2 ticks.
