Bye Bye Blackbird - DOP, OPB & OPBk

Various artists

Notes:

  • Count-in included.
  • Without a preferred artist’s version, I worked up songs performed by three different artists thus there are three versions for each song. I used Phil_Flood’s MIDI source file for the ALT3 songs. All have different tempos—adjust to taste.
  • Experiment with different drum sets for the v1 songs, i.e., Soul Jazz or Sizzle Brushes (Boutique kits); Jazz, Jazz Brushes, etc.
  • Included links to three Youtube videos.
  • I should also mention that it would be best to import/export/sync these using the BeatBuddy Manager (BBM) as it will save the songs whereas the BBMO will not save songs using kits >100Mb (the Jazz Trio Brushes 60_C0 kit).
  • See updated links at bottom of this post for tips, techniques and procedures (TTP).

Thanks, I chose the V3

How could I add transition ?

You’re welcome.

Probably not an easy task unless you are very comfortable using a DAW (digital audio workstation) such as Reaper or Logic Pro X.

Since this is a one-press song, you could do so by exporting the song to MIDI and using a DAW to edit by copying and then pasting transitions wherever you want them within the body of the MIDI.

May I copy an existing transition in another song ?

Yes, you can; just make sure to map the drums in the fill to the kit in use. Listen carefully to the velocities in the fill as they might be louder than the drum velocities of the main body of the song.
