Fisherman's Blues - (backing track)

The Waterboys

Notes:

  • The MIDI source file was about a minute shorter than the recorded song so I worked it up as a backing track. There is no count-in for this version so I kept the guitar intro but at a reduced volume so there was at least something to help pace the beginning of this song. The outro gently fades out.
  • I’m working on embedding a count-ins for backing tracks but that will probably come sometime down the road.

OK all downloaded and synch’d to pedal. Wow, thanks. That’s impressive. I didn’t realize you were going to do an entire backing track. This will be a first for me, as I’ve only ever used my beat buddy for the A.D. (Artifical Drummer).

OK, it plays fine when I play it on my computer after importing but when I synch to my pedal, it goes into an endless quiet loop on ‘Intro fill’. I checked that it’s using the correct drum set. Is there anything else I can try?

I just tested it on my BB1 and then my BB2 pedals and it plays just fine.

Here’s what I suggest trying:

  1. Select the song on your pedal and then tap to load. I noticed that it took a while to load on my BB1 so wait until the Drum set loading indicator fully stops and then try starting the song.
  2. If this doesn’t work, delete the song and drum set from the BBMO and Sync your card. Download and unzip the file from the forum again and import the drum set and the song again. Save Project and then Sync to your card. Try it in your pedal and wait for the drum set to fully load. Play it. If it still doesn’t work, select and play any other song on your pedal and then try the backing track again. It should work.

Please let me know how you fare.

Yep it works. It’s that old patience thing. Dang. Is there a way to get the drum portion separately?

I have a MIDI source file but it is about a minute short (I think the song sequencer omitted the two solos). That’s why I went the backing track route. I’ll see what I can do but no promises.
