Not relative to the song or BB, but a story I have told a few times. Oct. 17, 1989. I won a local radio contest (Dayton, OH). They flew me to Minneapolis to attend a show at The First Avenue (famous for where Prince started and the club in the “Purple Rain” movie). I was to see Steve Stephens (Billy Idol guitarist) and the Atomic Playboys. They were coming to Dayton in a couple of days and the radio station was promoting the gig. Anyhow… the SF earthquake hit that evening during their gig. There were TVs by the bar area that were muted. Everyone was wondering what was happening. Even the '89 World Series between the Giants and A’s got suspended for a time. I eventually found out what happened when talking to the band backstage. A couple of them were from SF and told me a major earthquake struck. They were contacted by family members that let them know they were OK. One of those “I’ll never forget” moments".

Interesting anecdote. I’ve long enjoyed gear reviews of Steve Stephens’ rig as well as whatever else would get printed about him in various guitar magazines.

Thanks for sharing!
